    You are welcome to become a part of the Coastal Library Nonfiction Book club (Beyond the Spine). Meeting on the first Thursday each month starting at 4:00 pm at the Coastal Library. Ā Ā  The book chosen for reading and discussion for November's meeting is Bill Bryson’s A Walk In The Woods,Ā an oldie but goodie. We will continue to have open discussions on selecting future books to read. Come on out to share stories with each other, reflect on current book choice and offer encouragement to one another until the next month we meet again.Ā  Beyond the Spine Nonfiction Book club welcomes you to join and enjoy.Ā  Please call Linda at the library for more information 850-267-2809. Suggestions for future shared reading topics were biographies, such as Mark Twain (new Chernow book), and other people/events from the Gilded Age (Rebecca Edwards). Ā Interest in local history books was expressed:Ā The Way Things Were; Times Gone ByĀ were publications of the Three Arts Alliance in the late 1990’s with articles and original art by locals and are available at the Library. Oct 3 - Detail the life of the person who inspires you the most. Oct 17 - Imagine what would happen if you woke up one morning unable to see, speak, or hear. Nov 7 - Think about what you are most proud of. Follow the story of how you got to that point. Nov 21 - By way of a lottery system, the king or queen chooses you to be his queen or her king. Dec 5 - Use five points of view to describe one situation. Dec 19 - Describe the life of a struggling author attempting to make it "big".
