Author Andi Scurto will present her new book titled, “The Accidental Adventure of Mattie the Giraffe” during the library’s regularly scheduled story hour class for preschool age children, Thursday, February 24th starting at 10:00 am. Children with their families are invited to attend for stories, songs and a craft. Award winning artist / author Andi Scurto and her creation, the irresistible Mattie the Giraffe is a colorfully illustrated tale of the day that Mattie learns to ride her bicycle. Author Sandra Wallis presents her new book, “Not What I Bargained For” at the Coastal Library on Friday, February 25th starting at 2:00 pm. When Sandra’s youngest was born, she had four children under seven years old. One daughter was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus and her son was born with a rare disease that required intravenous feeding for over twenty years and eventually a four-organ transplant. Follow Sandra as she takes you on her journey with not one but two children who had to deal with major health issues. Watch how they not only survived but thrived in the midst of chaos.
